Card #6 here ... I mentioned previously in this post that I am showing off my "Happy Birthday to Papertrey" cards for their 3rd Anniversary contest. So, if you see this one first, please hit refresh on your browser to see what else I've had fun making today! :-)
This card is one I made using a cutie image from Alli Miles. I think its perfect for a baby or little kiddo card and just by changing out the colors you can easily make it cater to either gender. You can see Alli's great sample and grab her image here. This card is pretty simple, but I added some Swiss Dots embossing to the bottom half of the card base ... since I had dragged my Cuttlebug out and all for this card. I had planned to go more Sweet Blush pink with this one, but grabbed the wrong Copic for that! Whoops! LOL Anyway, I love the Melon Berry so it turned out great. I distressed the edges of the Melon Berry layers ... an attempt to distract from my inability to freehand cut a perfect circle! (Shhhh don't tell anyone!) Seriously, this is a great way to hide some cutting/trimming imperfections.
Thanks for stopping by! I have one more card to show tonight ... I ran out of time and good light, but may attempt the other 2 later this week but don't forsee getting them done in time for the challenge.
Supplies Used (all PTI unless noted):
Image: Alli Miles
Ink: Copics
Paper: Kraft, Vintage Cream, Dark Chocolate, Melon Berry
Other: Melon Berry twill ribbon; Swiss Dots embossing folder (Cuttlebug)
