Paper Crafts Mag

Hi!  Can you believe Christmas is less than two weeks away?  Good grief do I have a lot of projects left to finish!  A few more shirts, a quilt, a few other projects, and more ... better get back to work!

I did want to share some news ... the PaperCrafts Jan/Feb 2011 issue is out and I have a fun shaped card in it ... you can even download my template from the PC website!  Here's the magazine you'll be looking for at the store ...

It's blisteringly cold here and we may get a little white stuff on Thursday ... which I would love, but then we'd have to make up the day next Wednesday instead of having a 2 day week.  I think I'd rather just get the school days over with!  ha!

Shabby & Vintage & Inspired

Hi and Happy Monday y'all! I am checking in today to share a card I made for the Paper Crafts Inspired Style Challenge (create a project inspired by a vintage typewriter) and I am combining it with the Moxie Fab Shabby & Vintage challenge. Here's what I came up with ... What do ya think? I think she turned out pretty! :-) I stamped the typewriter and sentiment gray ink and then used some collage-y type paper from The Girls Paperie. Its like a cheater quilt fabric, but paper and the colors in it are so lovely. I did a lot of ink distressing on the edges and then added some ribbon, a button, and some pearls for good measure.

I am off to a get ready for a meeting this evening ... hope you are having a wonderful start to your week!

Card Style Fun & Cute Challenge

Hiya! Happy Monday! This week will be busy for me, but I am looking forward to it.

Have you seen the new Paper Crafts magazine? Its called Card Style and I can't wait to get a copy of it to flip through. This week, Cath of Moxie Fab is hosting some challenges and today is cards that are "Fun & Cute" ... well, I think this counts!
This card was made with mostly scraps from my scrap bucket. And I love the bright color scheme I've got going on. Who doesn't like polka dots and cupcakes?! :-)
